Overview
This lecture will cover ways to increase conversations between health care providers who are engaged in conservative management of OSA, and in particular combination therapy, whereby they consider more treatment options for patients to help improve health outcomes.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will be able to: 
  1. Understand the challenges we face with OSA, PAP and OAT; 
  2. Review literature as it pertains to combination therapy; and
  3. Understand the options for combination therapy and when to apply them.
Target Audience
Dentists screening or treating patients with sleep-related breathing disorders.
Speaker Bio
 
J. Michael Adame, DDS graduated from UTHSC San Antonio dental school in 1987. After a 2-year tour with the Indian Health Service, he returned home on the border of south Texas where he practiced for 34 years. He is currently re-establishing his new dental home in San Antonio where he plans to practice with his daughter after she finishes her 2-year AEGD Residency.  He began offering DSM in 2012 and has been a Diplomate for 10 years. He had been working in a sleep center once a week for over 8 years. He has been a part of the Mastery lecture team to assist other dentists who aspire to become credentialed in dental sleep medicine.  He also served on the board of directors for the AADSM for 6 years. He has also published several articles on DSM related topics and continues to lecture to his community, helping to educate the public, dentists, and physicians.
