Overview
Obstructive sleep apnea, the most common sleep-related breathing disorder, is a chronic, progressive disorder that left unmanaged, can lead to potentially fatal outcomes. As a chronic disorder, long-term management is essential. As a progressive disorder, management therapies may need reevaluation of effectiveness. Long-term management of oral appliance therapy is critical for continued successful and effective control of this sleep-related breathing disorder. This webinar will address the risk-factors, standards and protocols for long-term OAT management that will best serve the patients.

At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
  • Understand the critical nature of long-term management of OAT users;
  • Implement protocols for long-term management;
  • Incorporate critical evaluation elements into long-term follow-up appointments for OAT; and
  • Identify changes that impact patient outcomes.
Target Audience
Dentists screening or treating patients with sleep-related breathing disorders.
