The ADA recommends that dentists screen patients for sleep-related breathing disorders (SRBD) as part of a comprehensive medical and dental history. This video demonstrates how to acquire Mallampati and Friedman classifications on all adult patients in a standardized and reproducible manner and explains how these classifications can be useful when screening patients for SRBD.
