Any airway evaluation undertaken by a dental sleep medicine practitioner should also take the nasal airway into consideration. It is well established that resistance to nasal airflow has a direct impact on the geometry and function of oral structures down-stream. A simple to implement nasal screening may then assist the dentist in planning treatment for patient’s embarking on a trial of oral appliance therapy.Note: CE credit is not offered for demonstrations.
