Journal Study Club (Q2 2023)
Instructions

Read the article and then discuss the questions that follow in your own local study club. When reading the article, pay special attention to the methods, results and discussion sections, as this will help you answer the questions.

 

If you do not have a local study club and would like to start one, you can use the AADSM Member Directory to find other AADSM members in your area. From there, find one volunteer to lead the group and the discussion, using the questions.

To earn continuing education (CE) credit, complete the CE evaluation after reading the article and then download a copy of the CE letter.

Objectives

Journal Study Club Overall Objective
The AADSM Journal Study Club aims to highlight critical research articles in the field of dental sleep medicine and provide readers with questions to carefully consider both the scientific and clinical impact of the literature. Furthermore, it provides a mechanism for dentists to form their own local study clubs.

Article Objective
The objective of this review was to evaluate the effect of mandibular advancement appliances (MAAs) for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in children.
